Bourciez izan baitzen Bordeleko herrialdeko errient guziei manua eman ziena "Haur prodigoa" deitu parabola itzul zezaten herriko bereko mintzairara, hizkuntza hau euskara ala gaskoina izanik. Hori gertatu zen 19. mendeko azken urteetan. Liburu honetan euskarazko testuak baizik argiratuak dira, erran nahi baita Iparraldeko 150 euskal bertsioak.<br />Kapitulu honetan liburuaren aitzin-solasa, sarrera, bibliografia, errienten zerrenda eta "frantsesezko "L'enfant prodigue" testua emanak dira.The documents presented in this book are due to Edourd Bourciez. E Bourciez had given to translate in their local language the parabola of "The prodigal son" to all the teachers of the academy of Bordeaux, whether it is out of Basque or Gascon. This was held in the last of the 19th century.
