Así, en esa reescritura, definida por las modificaciones varias del texto, un papel esencial lo cumplen las variantes de autor, redaccionales y editoriales, cuyo grado de voluntariedad siempre hay que evaluar para saber si el autor las aceptó y, por otra parte, en qué medida su presencia modifica la obra literaria hasta convertirla en una versión revisada e incluso en otra distinta. Por lo tanto, estos cambios inciden en dos cuestiones fundamentales : qué texto editar y cómo editarlo ; al tratar con estas variantes, una modalidad idónea es recurrir a la denominada edición crítico-genética.Writing is synonymous with rewriting : when we read a text, we find it in a moment of equilibrium, because a certain version is easily changeable when it falls again in the hands of its author, but also in those of others. Thus, in rewriting, defined by the several changes of the text, the author’s redactional and editorial variants fulfil an essential role, and to respect their degree of wilfulness it is always necessary to evaluate in what measure the author accepted them ; on the other hand, what extent their presence modifies the literary work, turning it into a revision and yet another different one.
