L'auteur aborde l'étude de modalités particulières de traduction de cette musique en milieu rural, à travers la production d'un " rock rural " et d'instrumentalisation de celle-ci pour des préoccupations d'ordre identitaire, exprimées ici en terme de basquité (ensemble de traits anthropologiques et de représentations liés à la société basque), selon la formule de Roland Barthes. Le résultat de cette alchimie musicale et culturelle se trouve dans le rock " basque " qui vise, grâce à l'utilisation de la langue basque, à basquiser une expression musicale de dimension universelle, et, en même temps, à universaliser la langue basque. L'auteur décèle dans cet usage de la musique rock les signes et les valeurs de la " post-modernité ".Rock, rurality, “basquité” and post-modernity The rock music, unlike the others musics, has given birth at the formation of a great number of rock groups, having an ephemery statute, showing thers the amplitude of his echo near the young classes of age. The author studies the peculiar ways of traduction of this music in rural society, with the production of a “rural rock”, and of instrumentalisation of this music in an identitary finality, expressed by the word of “basquité” (totality of anthropological caracters and representations about the basque society), according to the expression of Roland Barthes. The result of this musical and cultural alchemy is in the “basque” rock which seeks to, with the utilisation of the basque language, to “basquize” a musical expression of universal dimension and, in the same time, to universalize the basque language.
